Day 67 – And I am a Lollipop

My kid is amazing. She just comes up with catchy songs. I think I mentioned a few posts back that she made up a kitty song. I still have yet to get it on a recording. Oh, I will.

She made this video using my Snapchat filters a few days ago. It’s had us in stitches for days! We just randomly sing it with her.

The forecast said that they expect gale force winds today. We completely forgot about that. So we walked over to the beach with blankets and beach toys only to find the tide was extraordinary high and the winds were so strong we were blown around like rag dolls!

I’m pretty sure we’ve never experienced such wind and tide at the beach in our lives! It was impressive.

No one was around today, save for three folks really far up north of us. So we turned back and checked to see if the ice cream shop was open. Nope! Then we took a ride to see if Stewart’s was open. Nope! So we came home and had leftovers. I made a ton of meatballs on Saturday.

For dinner I made some grilled chicken. I had to de-bone a chicken breast. That was the easy part. The hard part was, I didn’t have a mallet to pound it down into cutlets. AH! So I improvised by using a second cutting board to place over the chicken while I whacked it with my Pyrex measuring cup. It was hysterical and inventive at the same time.

Now I sit here with no internet. I hope that the wind didn’t knock down a line! Optimum has some crappy online troubleshooting. And by that I mean, NONE! I tried tweeting them, but no reply. This is frustrating.

Now my phone is dying so I’m going to plug it in and try to watch some Hulu while readying myself to sleep. Chao for now!
