I’m sorry (not sorry), but everything is better at the beach.
Yesterday the weather was awful. We planned on having a little BBQ but it was raining pretty much all day. So instead, we had one today!
It was also nice to see my neighbor who also happens to be my best friend. She’s a school teacher so she’s just so busy still trying to navigate this remote learning, as all NYC teachers are. She had her masters degree graduation via video conference today. I’m so proud of her because she worked really hard over the last 4 years taking classes online and then spending almost 3 months of her summers down at their campus. Hard work will pay off soon, my friend!
We decided to head back to the shore for a few days. Packed up the car and left. Even though there were clearly more people on the road, the traffic was still non existing. We still got here in an hour and a half.
Gosh I love it here. I feel more energy. I’m so thankful that we were able to get this place. It’s not the biggest of homes but it suits our needs. I also love that we have less clutter here. I must do something about the clutter in our apartment!
Anyway, it was a good day. Tomorrow will be better!
